FAQ
Fencing is a sport of skill, speed and finesse in which there is little advantage in brute strength. Fencing is both a physical and a mental workout, in which fencers learn to hone their strategies against opponents of varying skill levels, and build up physical endurance, agility, and accuracy.

Starting a club is fairly easy in Alberta. All you need is 3 other people to form a Board.
- Think of a name first.
- Have your bylaws ready and a couple of other documents.
All the documents can be prepared in a few hours – time to read, fill out their bylaws and other templates, think of a name for the club, and have it all ready to be taken into the closest registry office.
If there are any questions with the documents, the individuals at the registry should be able to assist you in any inquiries you may have.
